Lowlife in a highrise looks something like me
Blackmailed by a white girl, enslaved in a free world
I’ve been watching the rain
I’ve been learning to fall like a natural
I’ve been up for a week
I’ve been walkin the streets
It’s a ritual
The clouds are in my eyes
Lowlife in a highrise on the downtown music scene
Watchin’ all the girls go by
Feel as lonely as a lie
I’ve been plannin my moves
I’ve been using my muse
It’s a cover up
For the one that I want
Or the one that I’m with
Send my lover up
The clouds are in my eyes
Soothe me baby, soothe me now
Soothe me baby, I need it somehow
Lowlife in a highrise and she loved me the whole time
If she knew all my sins
Would she still let me in
I’ve been screenin my calls
I’ve been building my walls
It’s the usual
I have waited so long
For a place at the top
But now I gotta go
With the angels of light
And the ones that conduct
On my stereo
I’ve been watching the rain
I’ve been learning to fall
Like a natural
The clouds are in my eyes
Soothe me baby, soothe me now
Soothe me baby, I need it somehow

I love this entire album. Every track is a winner. The album is well mixed. It sounds great on my computer's stereo sound system. It is almost as good as the sound quality of my vinyl record sound system. And Jesse's voice has never sounded more powerful and confident. Definitely a Five-Star album. dansp
